Results Are In And The Paws For President Is...
07/05/2008 - By Gerald Terrell, PetsinLex Columnist
We hope everyone had a wonderful day celebrating our country's day of Independence! Thanks to everyone that visited us at the 4th of July Parade in downtown Lexington!
Light showers started the day with the runners racing in the 32nd annual Bluegrass 10,000. Serious runners might have found some relief while others either socialized or enjoyed playing in the rain. However, the rain did hold off long enough for everyone to enjoy the 4th of July events and parade.
At the event, The Barkery gave dogs their chance to participate and vote for their next President. The results are in and the Paws for President is…oh no! The votes were split right down the middle. Barack Obama and John McCain both received the same number of votes. Based on these results we see a need for Pet Lovers in our community to help their pets by exercising their right to vote. This year's Presidential race is going to be close so everyone's vote will count.
We strongly encourage everyone to embrace their right to vote and make the difference.
