THINGS ARE ABOUT TO GET RUFF AT THE KENTUCKY HORSE PARK

More than horses abound at the Kentucky Horse Park.

LEXINGTON, KY (April 17, 2008) The Kentucky Horse Park is not only the place to get close to horses, it is fast becoming the place to get close to dogs too.

Literally thousands of dogs representing nearly every breed in the world will gather at the park at various times to compete in national, regional and local shows. Quite a few dogs and puppies will also be available for adoption to new homes:

Adoptable dogs – Apr 24-27 at Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, Lexington Humane Society, 859-233-0044,
also offering doggie daycare during Rolex.
Terrier Races and adoptable pets – May 18 at the High Hope Steeplechase, 859-2967-9444

Saluki Club of America National Specialty Dog Show – June 3-7, 505-286-2797

John Henry Memorial Equine Adoption Fair – June 28, local equine rescue and adoption agencies will

Dog Agility Demonstrations – July 18-20 at BreyerFest, 973-694-5006
Bluegrass Classic Dog Show - Aug 28-Sept 1 featuring approximately 10,000 dogs from across the U.S.,

German Shepherd Dog Club of America, North American Sieger Show - Oct 16-19, some of the most

Most of the shows are included with admission to the Kentucky Horse Park with the exception of the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, the High Hope Steeplechase, and the Bluegrass Classic Dog Show. For more information, call the numbers associated with each show.
